Dr. Connie Vernham
Dr. Connie Vernham grew up on an island in Lake Erie, Michigan with her parents and two older brothers. She spent her youth playing ice hockey and traveling throughout the Midwest and Canada playing in tournaments. At 15, she started volunteering at the Toledo Zoo where she later became an Aviary Keeper.
While attending college at Eastern Michigan University, Dr. Vernham worked as a Veterinary Technician, a Veterinary Receptionist, and a Lab Assistant on a cancer research project. In 2023, she graduated Magna Cum Lade from Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine. Her professional interests include surgery, preventive care, and exotic medicine.
While attending vet school, Dr. Vernham fell in love with Texas. In her free time, she enjoys baking pies and cookies from scratch, reading, skating, and hiking with her Australian Shepard, Rorschach.
